In a world filled with what seems like almost unlimited information we still need more! The more information we get from the field the better; because the decisions we make from the places we make them are only as good as the information we are given from the places we aren’t! And often that information is being fed to someone sitting in a control room with closed walls in the middle of a city. We have seen the implications of poor decision making based on incorrect or no information and as big businesses we really need to start doing our best to get it right!
Everyday across multiple organisations it’s the information our remote assets tell us that can prevent Lost Time Injuries (LTI) and/or All Injury Frequency Rates (AIFR). It can save us money by making us more efficient and preventing damage to our assets in the field. It allows us to get better at predicting what’s ahead and it can allow us to look even further into the future by drawing trends from the past. And because of this information we are now planning more and achieving better results.
Australia is such a wild beast and often our networks are independent of each other and span across states and cities. And as we commit ourselves more and more to getting our people home safe, we begin to explore information systems to give us the tools to make the big decisions. But these information systems will always deliver better and more reliable information when we have more infrastructure in the field. Large industries are now getting a taste of what these systems are giving us, and the thirst is growing. Particularly as it would seem, with global warming providing us with a new set of challenges annually. If you have a remote solution and need someone to supply, install and/or maintain this equipment competently, give us a call.
